There is an AC unit in one, but its labored operation does not produce much cool air, while the other room is outfitted with a large fan that does seem to fight the heavy, humid air.

Internet in the midst of Ghana, impressive. Maybe during your trip you can find all those people who know about millions in local banks and only need a few 'expenses' covered before sharing the wealth. On a more serious note, I hope the weather treats you kindly and take plenty of notes, I'll want a full debrief when you get back :-)
